Curators' Statement
During these months of the coronavirus pandemic, subsequent isolation and social upheaval, artists have turned on their creativity, delving deeply into their studio practice. While some have taken on these events as a subject, others have seemingly worked in opposition to its effect on our lives. In these wide-ranging responses to our invitation, artists demonstrate that art cannot be denied even in these confounding times. We are proud and pleased to present the work of these sixteen women and non-binary artists and the lessons they have gleaned from these past months grappling with the coronavirus pandemic.
